A full-page ad in this morning's N&R (it also ran recently in the Peacemaker) is headlined "African American Clergy Against NC Amendment One."
The document announces a prayer meeting and rally against the amendment at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1301 Alamance Church Road, on Sunday, 5/6, at 4:30 PM.

They did a good job of pointing out that their own struggle for human rights aligns them with the unmarried of this state who's rights would be shamefully trampled with passage of this absurd amendment.

The early voting numbers show the amendment passing by 20 percent. Even after all the gnashing of the teeth by the Looney Left......

if only this amendment were up for a vote in '07, maybe we could've saved john edwards from trashing his marriage due to teh gays!
