Preston Earle had the rare ability to disagree without being disagreeable.
A longtime presence on the local blogging scene, Preston wrote this fall of his fight with pancreatic cancer. He died yesterday.
Many kind words at his FB page. RIP, Preston.
A fine epitaph for Preston, Ed. Like his late mother, Margaret, he was a genuinely good soul.

Damn!
More of us should be more like Preston-- myself included.

Makers. He was a founding member of our Carolina State group..
We first met 2 years ago at the first State meeting at my shop...
He was an outstanding furniture maker and always a gentleman..
We will miss him ..

Preston did seems like a kind man and my condolences go to his loved ones.
My uncle in Washington has this now and is not likely to last the month. His pancreatic cancer likely stemmed from his diabetes.
