Amex data centers in Guilford County will bring some jobs (150 max projection), plus construction jobs, and tax revenue, and possibly more data centers from other companies.
And it was done without incentives, and it cements the companies interest in the GSO region.
So, hurray. Good news is good news, and in this economy, good news is great news.
But data centers are giant refrigerated warehouses for computers, not high-tech developing or manufacturing facilities, so it's not time for a home run trot.
Except, maybe...

so you go from being the largest incentive package in the history of guilford county to poof , red flags red flags and we have our lovely professor from unc-g chime in with this below. Who would be poking?

“I suspect they don’t want people poking their noses in their business.” he said. “It is also possible that a rapid decision is needed, and they didn’t feel the need to get tied up in the public realm"
