Except Fox never said that. Those are the words of the editor characterizing a passage made by Fox wherein he states that he implies that in leading a Christian life, there is no cause for war. The actual words are "I lived in the virtue of that life and power that took away the occasion of all wars".
Either way, it comes down to perspective. This passage indicates that if everyone lived a Christian life, there would be no wars. On the other hand, some people, including some commenters on this blog believe that the "Christian life" is responsible for most wars.
So what are you trying to say by quoting this passage, Ed?
