I wonder how the employees of the Toyota plants in California, Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, and West Virginia feel about their federal tax dollars being spent to fund companies that compete against them?

You scared me for a minute there, Ed. I thought the Toyotathon was really over before I had a chance to enjoy all the excitement. At least it looks like tons of fun in all the commercials. I hear this years event will be the "Toyotathon of all Toyotathons". I hope they raise a lot of money for Jerry's kids.

JC it sounds like they need union help.

So, the non-union car companies are in trouble just like the union car companies-- so much for the argument that the unions are the reason for the giant car crash.

Not the sole reason, but certainly Detroit's inability to effectively deal with many of its spiraling costs put them at a disadvantage in the marketplace. Don't think you can discard the union piece so easily, just as I don't think you can lay all the blame there as well.
