Perhaps the best "buffer" for this project would be a COMPATIBLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT between the proposed apartment buildings and the single family homes. Let's stop kidding ourselves. No amount of shrubs or trees can make this a COMPATIBLE PROJECT. Not to mention the fact that 3 story buildings about 42 feet from 1 story single family homes just DOES NOT FIT. And as for a 6 foot fence, that may hide the average citizen (6 feet tall), but it in noway can hide 3 story apartment buildings. THIS JUST DOES NOT "FIT".
Why not scale down the project, or get a better developer who knows how to make money with a COMPATIBLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT without "fleecing" the neighbors and "REACHING INTO THEIR POCKETS" by reducing the value of their properties thru PLACING INCOMPATIBLE INFILL PROJECTS NEXT TO SINGLE FAMILY NEIGHBORHOODS. LETS PUT THE COUNCIL DEVELOPER FRIENDSHIPS AND POLITICAL CONNECTIONS ASIDE AND SEE THIS PROJECT FOR WHAT IT IS, IMCOMPATIBLE!!!

As Zoning Commission member Cindy Hayworth stated when referring to Mega Builders' plan to minmize the "incompatibility" through the use of buffers, "If it's incompatible, it's incompatible." Plants and a 6' fence will not change that.
