Keith Holliday says Mitch Johnson handled things properly when he put David Wray on administrative leave. In fact, the Mayor says he would not have been so solicitous of Wray, and that Wray is responsible for going out the way he did. ""I regret that David Wray chose that course of action rather than accepting for himself a process he endorsed and practiced with other men and women of the Greensboro Police Department."
A question that arises is why is the mayor writting about this information now. For over a year and half the Police have been embroiled in scandals. It was not until the Bledsoe articles that the city has begun to trickle out their version of what happened. Complete accounting and and revealing everything will be the only way the city can ever expect to gain trust or show that they are doing the right thing.

The City's version -- not necessarily of the lock-out, but of the story behind it -- was articulated early. It's the near-complete silence since that is problematic.

"It's the near-complete silence since that is problematic."
The explaination was that nobody wanted to comment while there was an "on-going investigation." Does the Mayor's commentary mean that all investigations have been concluded?

All of which leads to two more questions regarding the timing of the pushback article:
Why now?
What else does Holliday know?
