That was as hard-fought a 19-point win as I've seen in a while. Carolina looked pretty damn good for a long stretch of the second half.
State players were concerned about their coach, red-blazer-rockin' Sidney Lowe, who went to the hospital at halftime to be treated for dehydration.
Waves of fresh UNC players wore them down, too.
Dean Smith was honored at halftime for being inducted into another hall of fame. He checked his watch during the long introduction, and gave a 12-second speech that concluded with "Let's beat State." I was happy my kids were there for that moment.
Is this team maturing fast enough to add to the DeanDome decor? We'll see. Brandan Wright played better defense tonight than I knew he could play. Bobby Frasor seems to be almost all the way back from his injury...and three more regular season games to go.

I thought QT came in and gave them a huge lift; especially, with the block of EA, and then come down and make a perfect, no look, one-handed, alley -oop pass to BW for the stuff.
The pressure D in the second half looked awesome!

That sequence by Thomas was as good as it gets -- I'll be looking on YouTube for a clip to post here. He's become a real crowd favorite in the Dome, I think fans really appreciate his perseverance, maturation, and contribution.
