N&O: The N.C. State Bar is seeking to discipline Durham County District Attorney Michael Nifong for pre-trial statements he made to the media about the criminal investigation involving Duke University’s lacrosse team...The complaint concludes that Nifong should have known his conduct was 'prejudicial to the administration of justice' and that Nifong engaged in conduct involving 'dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.'"
"A member of the Communist Party is a Communist. A member of the Republican Party is a Republican. A member of the Libertarian Party is a Libertarian. A member of the Socialist Party is a Socialist."
That being the case, and considering that the actual name of the party is and has always been the Democratic Party, it seems to me that you would insist on calling Democrats "Democratics" instead of insisting on calling the party the Democrat party.

"Their website lists them as The Democratic Party, not the democratic party. Thus, it is a label, a proper noun."
No, "Democratic" is an adjective. There's really no point in discussing this further when you insist on remaining proudly ignorant of the meaning of "adjective."

So was Gorbachev a "Communist" or not? Diagram this sentence: "Gorbachev is a Communist". Or better still, "He is a member of The Democratic Party". Note, if you intend to you use "Democratic" to modify "Party", you cannot capitalize the "D". Thus, you can't make it an adjective without changing the sentence.
You are the one being ignorant because you can't site a rule of grammar to support your argument that there is some exception for the word "Democratic" that does not apply to other similar political groups. Calling me ignorant does not strengthen or advance your argument, but it does highlight the double standard when it comes to name calling that you and others deny exists on this blog and makes your cry that I be more objective on my blog all the more comical. Unilateral surrender? Not gonna happen.

Just SOP on certain posters' parts.
What I like about them is their ability to apply their pretzel logic to justify their beliefs, and to counter any opposing opinion on any issue. They're NEVER wrong, even when proven so.
Amazing!
