Bubba! I just measure your political vert leap and I am sorry to report that you cannot make the 4 corner offense postion. However I have Ed at the lie for a 3 foul shot.

I have move our big man Ben down in the hole to block shots from their big man. So far today, our team bench stats person reports over 34 thousand fully read views on various subjects at our home court along with 9872 new tryouts, since late last night.

You are welcome to view the comments from the tryouts and the cut dates at the coaches section.

Your the man Bubba?

What Connie seems to be saying is that statewide judicial elections hinge on name recognition, and even negative coverage helps if voters remember Rachel Hunter's name.

jw

Rachel Hunter? Wasn't she a super-model who was married to Rod Stewart?

Connie Mack Jr

What Connie seems to be saying is that statewide judicial elections hinge on name recognition, and even negative coverage helps if voters remember Rachel Hunter's name.* Doug

Dang Doug! You have broken the Dome code...Bubba! I have assigned you as refree between Doug and Ed over this Church State thing. I am placing my mo on Ed so far, but Doug is showing some swift 3 pointers...Call it tight Bubba. The last thing we need is a Detriot 05 msm bawl between them.....

Ed Cone

I was reluctant for that very reason to raise this subject in the first place, Doug, but it seemed ineluctable given the stature of Dean Smith and the egregiousness of the claims.

Connie Mack Jr

Rachel Hunter? Wasn't she a super-model who was married to Rod Stewart?* RH swinsuit fan

Yes and she supported George Bush in 2004. The State Republican party political experts claim that the other Rachel Hunter almost won the last election in this state because the voters were confuse that the Rachel Super model was running in this state.

Frankly. Rod was right in dropping her as a airhead republican

Connie Mack Jr

Doug, but it seemed ineluctable given the stature of Dean Smith and the egregiousness of the claims.* Ed

Ed if you had answer my e-mail instead of pushing the story before it was finish at 2 AM ....this could have been avoided ....

Ed Cone

Yeah, it's my fault for challenging your incorrect claims, which you made via broadcast email and public website.

And which you still, as of 1:30 PM today, have not fully corrected.

Connie Mack Jr

And which you still, as of 1:30 PM today, have not fully corrected.*Ed

Ed! I have been very busy today trying to sign up two cornerbacks for the Panthers at training camp. Do you agree that is very important before your request!

On top of that, Vongage or whatever that silly phone company is call, contacted me today and want to me to do TV ads for them. I think I have found way to fund the campaign and make you happy...ps..according to our tracking service today, The link to your blog on our site was transfer to your site or thread here 434 times since 11 AM ...now don't tell me that I am not helping you to get out this vast misunderstanding with the information....I am sure your tracking service will confirmed that .... If you want the job as webmaster..submit a resume and I hire you pronto.... never mind! I offering the job to Bubba who will also do the Vonatage commerial!

Doug Clark

Your comments are perfectly appropriate, Ed ... and you've made Connie's day.

Dean, are you reading? Can you give us a comment?

Connie Mack Jr

Which is, y'know, a lie.* Ed

Ed! I forgot one other thing. Rachel was at Duke medical today having another gold drop put into her eye that won't close during the night. This problem is cause from the growth of the tumor that has reocurred. The Duke medical team is back into our camp after they were hack off about the so-called Dean endorsement .....For while I thought I had lost the Duke vote.

Connie Mack Jr

Ed! I just caught a big time sports blogger making the same mistake as us... You need to jump on this before this thing rips the sporting community apart..

--------------------------------
Hi Paul! It is me again. Thanks for making the correction on the number "

"which, at last check, contained annoying ads that flickered "CLICK HERE!"" your quote, I believe you should remove that term " annoying" also since you didn't tell your viewers that might have made the same mistake as us. Of course it is about free speech and all that good stuff about democracy in action. Right? If you decide you don't feel like making the small correction, than we will simply use your e-mail to us in a new " Annoying" Blog Ad on our site promoting your site for free....By the way, our tracking services is showing a great deal traffic to our site from your site with lots of folks reading all kind of subjects on our site. Thing it over Paul, the last thing you need is the blogging community thinking you screw up about politics. Let me know as fast as you can, so I won't have to make my Blog Ad guy go to work.... Yrs....Connie Mack Jr

Is Connie Mack Rachel Hunter? Or does she answer her emails on that website?

Just asking because they both use the same sort of tone.

UPDATED -- see conversation with RLH below

The meltdown of the Rachel Lea Hunter campaign raises a question: where is Rachel Lea Hunter?

Her husband, Connie Mack Berry Jr., has said on this site that Hunter is ill. Berry is the one doing all the talking these days (see comments in this thread).

Hunter's strange story -- a recent transplant to NC who ran for high office, she tried to get listed on the ballot as "Madame Justice," and switched from Vernon-Robinson-supporting-Republican to VR-bashing Dem in short order -- has gotten stranger, and maybe sadder, too.

Connie Mack Berry Jr seems to be running the show, and he's running it right into the ground. Where is Rachel Lea Hunter?

UPDATE

I spoke to Rachel Lea Hunter by phone from her office in Durham.

She says she writes the statements at her website, but that the Dean Smith thing "was a misunderstanding, I don't know how that got there, I didn't write it. People hack into a lot of things."

When I asked about the same verbiage being used in her emails, and the defense of the original statements by Connie Mack Berry Jr, she said she did not know what to make of that.

I asked about Berry's comments on various blogs. She said she had not read them all, and had not read any for 10 days. "He is just an advisor" to the campaign, she said.

She defended her comparison of Vernon Robinson to a slave on a plantation, saying that Hillary Clinton had called Congress a "plantation." I asked if it was not a little different to compare a black man to a slave, she did not see it that way.

She confirmed that her tumor has returned, and said that after an MRI and consultation in July she will decide on treatment, which may involve surgery or radiation. She said does not expect the treatment to have an impact on her campaign, although she did say surgery could leave her face paralyzed.

At the firm office Ed! What don't you call her and confirmed the alien kidnapping late last night! So far today, over 5000 thousand visitors to her site in search of Rachel Hunter the supermodel. Ed! I didn't know you were into conspriacy theorys. Hugs and Kisses and get JJ out of jail.

Posted by: Connie Mack Jr | Jun 14, 2006 at 11:31 AM

Please email me her phone number and I will call at once, thanks.

Posted by: Ed Cone | Jun 14, 2006 at 11:32 AM

Sure will Ed! We will put you in line for the confirmed missing report with the rest of the media. By the way! You are required to send a get well card to her about her recent battle with her outgoing tumor and a donation to her support group. Can I depend on it? Of course if you cannot make this effort like GOP leader Ferrel l and Mr Meek. I will understand. Oh When do you go on the Brad and Britt show and talk about missing political bloggers? Did I miss it already.

Posted by: Connie Mack Jr | Jun 14, 2006 at 11:41 AM

Thanks for the updated report Ed. I did move you up the line. I do feel better that you found her and don't have to file a missing report with the Greensboro police.

What a sad situation. This woman is obviously suffering and should not be in the public eye right now, let alone a candidate for office. I feel for her family and I hope that she gets the help she needs soon.

Right Britt! Have you suggested that for Anne Coulter? And since when have you become a mental health expert? Surely some of the listeners can make the same judgement about a talk show host after they interview them?

Thanks for the suggestion Jeff. It appears that over 1000 vistors from Ed's non-blog Ad has visited the RLH site and read over 4000 pages in the past 14 hours.

As to your suggestion about English grammar. I will happy to communcated with you in early ancient Roman republican form of Latin. I hope this meets your approval.

Connie,

Will Dean Smith be at the press conference in Raleigh in front of the State GOP HQ's? We'd all love to see him you know, his presence would really be a boost to the campaign.

Will Dean Smith be at the press conference * Bench warmer in politics John Barbara

Is there any reason why you are smearing a great person in the history of North Carolina sports, besides suffering from a terrible Republican addiction and obession issue you have John?

Ed Cone

JB is not smearing Dean Smith, he's alluding to the false claim of an endorsement from Smith by the Rachel Hunter campaign.

And it's not just Republicans who decry the Hunter campaign's antics: the NC Democratic Party has criticized Hunter's rhetoric and does not endorse her.
