Marcus Kindley calls for more civility and reasoned debate in the local blogosphere. He urges bloggers and commenters to "give logical and researched reasons why you disagree." His closing credo is "No personal attacks."

Here's a comment from Marcus timestamped 1:16 yesterday. Personal attacks? Check. Baseless allegations? Check. Incorrect facts? Check.
At first I was confused. Not only is the chairman of the Guilford County GOP the poster child for the kind of stuff he criticized at 1:25, he had uncorked a classic sample just nine minutes earlier.
Then it occurred to me: maybe his comment at my blog was the last gasp of the old blogging Marcus, and the chairman, who is by all accounts a very decent and articulate man in person, was announcing at 1:25 the birth of a new blogging Marcus.
I look forward to seeing how this plays out.

Ed! It appears that Mr Chairman is having a burn out on this blogging business after reading all of his posts.
I learn a long ago, from a law and order dude, when a person goes over the edge, The first thing we do is to get the dude off the street before he harms himself and the common good!
Thank God, Mr Chairman still lives in American and has constitutional rights.
Whatever you do Ed! Don't turn your computer and keyboard to your back while Mr Chairman blogs away at you?
