Allen Johnson laments the passing some good Greensboro blogs. I know what went down with Wharton and Michael, but Hardy Floyd might have been abducted by aliens.
Meanwhile, a reader emails about the local scene: "I would rather read Sue Polinsky write about the challenges of running a regional technology consultancy than another rant and link to Pam. I'd rather hear from Mickey about a time that faith instead of intellectual rigor got him out of a tough spot, instead of firing off another round in the culture wars. I'd rather read one of Sam Wharton's sad, endearing, f'd-up tales of love than a College Republican newsblast."
People are going to write what they want to write, that's part of the beauty of the medium. But I think the emailer has a point, without picking on any of the individuals named -- we're all best when we write original stuff that we know and feel, and less best when we fill space with me-tooism.
Who is Pam?

Glad to hear that you're enjoying what I'm writing Ed.

Pam Spaulding is a Durham blogger. I read her blog and get into interesting conversations with her and about what she writes. Her blog is here and is also called "Pam's House Blend." Most recently, Hogg and I were not happy with her post about Chief Wray and her take on racism in Greensboro.

Amusing. But I'll keep my thoughts to myself for now.
