Supporters of the Truth and Reconciliation process marched silently from Nelson Johnson's church on Arlington Street to the Weaver Center for this afternoon's public hearing, accompanied by a documentary film crew.
Nelson and Joyce Johnson led the march past Confederate monuments on Martin Luther King Jr Drive.
The Weaver center was crowded and it took a while to get everyone through security. The hearings started a little late; they are scheduled to go on through 9:00 this evening and much of the day tomorrow.
