Weird to be enjoying a vacation while the world goes to war.

Weird to see a war justified by the argument (articulated as recently as this morning by the British defense minister on CNN) that we can't hold off now because we have all those troops over there--as if that isn't one of the reasons we sent all those troops over there in the first place, to make this war inevitable.

Weird to see a war planned for a decade pegged to current events.

Weird to hear about a "coalition of the willing" from an administration that has destroyed much of the world's post-9/11 goodwill toward our country.

Weird to lament the war and the unilateralist mindset behind it, yet to be rooting for a quick and total victory for our side.
