It works for Wagner and Ezra Pound, so why not the guy writing Superman comics?
One possible answer for some folks is timing -- we're in the middle of this particular civil rights struggle.
Good for Lopez for going beyond the flimsy it's-just-gay-marriage story.


It was interesting to me that the subhed on the story in the dead-trees N&R stated as a fact that OSC is homophobic. I wonder whether that particular choice was intentional or a screw-up by a copy editor. (And, of course, those who disagree with the sentiment could argue plausibly that it was both.)
