NASCAR's move plays to everyone who is freaked out that copyright law is ruining civilization. Despite the good intentions, it is an example of corporate abuse of copyright.
I was at AskMetafilter this morning chasing something down. One of the unanswered questions asked if the "little guy" had ever actually benefited from copyright?
