I make no claim to being a great parent, but as our era of nightly family dinners draws to a close I'm confident it was a Good Thing.
More in the same vein: A family trip and a vacation are two different animals, duh.


Well, yes, if the family dinner just doesn't come together, you could theoretically find another way to "connect with your kids", as she suggests. But you're never going to find the kind of beautifully shared experience as what goes on around the table - ever.
