Instagram just may be the first company that’s figured out the quality problem with user-generated content on the Web.
Also, maybe $1 billion doesn't seem like that much money when you're about to IPO for 100x that amount.

For her, Instagram is a world for her and her friends in her grade that was protected from Facebook gawkers and lurkers.
This is not a realistic worldview to put in politely. It could even bring grief to one with that view, for example future employment issues.
