"This is really a question we should have answered last year," said Melvin "Skip" Alston, chairman of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners.
Don't be too hard on yourself, Skip. Who could have guessed that the largest downtown construction project in a generation might require parking?
Speaking of the incarceration industry, welcome Pat Robertson to the war on the War on Drugs.

Thanks again for making my point for me.
You should get up earlier. ;-)

Skip was against building the jail in the first place. The Sheriff wanted to rush this project which ended up putting the cart before the horse.

the new city view, which is adding another 130 or so residents to southside, didn't add a single parking spot either. we already have no spots for customers of ground level businesses. where is the city on these cluster-effs?

sean, "the new city view, which is adding another 130 or so residents to southside, didn't add a single parking spot either. we already have no spots for customers of ground level businesses. where is the city on these cluster-effs?"
So the solution is to build a PAC that will require 1000 - 3000 more parking spaces. That's how it goes...

The question should be, where are developers on these cluster-effs? The city requires developers to figure in adequate parking for all projects outside of downtown but is expected to provide downtown parking.
Makes sense to me. Does it make sense to you?

Hey Ron, are you still working for the developers of the Trader Joes shopping center project? And what's Jim Melvin's involvement?

Billy you are too funny

Ron, why is it you refuse to answer the questions that Ed and I have both repeatedly asked you to answer unless in-fact, you have something to hide?
There's nothing funny about what you're doing and your credibility is nearing zero.

Speaking of details, Ron's bosses have made decisions that are coming back to haunt us all.
