I've been drunk, and I've been drunk on love, and I'm familiar with the concept of punch-drunkness, but this one is new to me:
An Apex Town Council member convicted in January of driving while impaired is appealing the verdict with an unusual defense: An acid reflux problem, he claims, skewed the breath test he took when arrested.
It's only a valid defense because there are different standards for drunk driving in NC. Regular drivers license 0.08% CDL 0.0%.
