A labradoodle named Zelda and a rescued bichon frise, Duke, cost $17,000 a year, including food, health care, boarding and a daily dog-walker who charges $17 each per outing.
And that's from the guy who self-identifies as a saver.
Rich-people problems are easy to mock or at least put in perspective, but what strikes me is the fact that these folks spent all their money and locked themselves into lifestyles in the apparent belief that the music was never going to stop.


When one is self-absorbed to the extent indicated in the Bloomberg piece, why would what happens in the larger world be of their concern ? Till they can't ignore it anymore, at least ?
