UPDATE: Wade is running. /update
Soon after posting about Justin Conrad's run for state senate, I got an email saying he'd be vying for the nomination with Trudy Wade, and that this is widely known in local GOP circles, to the point that Dr. Wade has been introduced as a candidate at recent meetings.
Anyone know more about this? Tony W?

It is widely known she is running for the same position, even among those of us who are not insiders in GOP circles. I understand Tony has pledged his support to Dr. Wade, so he should be able to reconfirm.

Has the local GOP ever been this divided? You've got the clown shoes closet racist C4gc and the level-headed voice of reason GC Republican Party. I still say Sal Leone wins this race easy.

Trudy Wade To Run For NC Senate 27
Dr. Trudy Wade will run for the newly formed NC Senate District 27.
Wade, who is well known and very well liked for being a champion of conservative causes including lower taxes and less government intrusion in our lives, will make the formal announcement soon.
Dr. Wade’s experience and reputation as a local elected official should be a valuable asset in her campaign to serve on a state level. She will make an excellent representative for constituents in District 27 based on her consistent and proven record of conservatism.
I look forward to supporting her campaign.

I hope Dr. Wade's campaign for state senate will match the tone of Tony's verbiage above. The slime ball techniques Dr. Wade's campaign used against Sandy Carmany a few years ago were despicable.

I like "less government intrusion in our lives," where does Wade stand on the proposed woman/man-only-no-civil-unions amendment to our state Constitution?

Sal Leone, from what I understand as of today- has begun to make his intentions to run known to the Party.

"the level-headed voice of reason GC Republican Party."
We appreciate the sentiment. Please try not to confuse the two groups.
