Some much-deserved praise in the comments here for Freddy Johnson, the winningest coach in the history of NC high school basketball.
One of the good guys.

I think Freddy is not only a GDS, but local legend. I'll never forget Happy Waller or Ms. Reynolds (Those years are a blur) leading me and my compatriots into the auditorium to watch Thomas Roberts sign with W&M. Yet, there I was a few months ago, filling up my car with gas and Freddy's at the pump next to me. Just saw his record. Wow! Beyond impressive.

I think Coach Johnson will pass 1000 before he's done.
