"LOL @ conservatives hosting a debate at a civil rights museum."
LOL?
Tell us what's so funny.

The bigger LOL is the Republicans trying to get themselves involved in non-partisan municipal elections. What a poorly disguised -- and tremendously putrid -- crock of shit.
Posted by: MojoNixon | Sep 29, 2011 at 04:46 PM
Does anyone know why it's the only forum that is charging an admission?

Wow! In addition to all your other "talents", you play a good Political Pollyanna.
I'm impressed. What else can you do?

So how's that whole Republican lower taxes thing working out?

After all of the teeth gnashing from many surrounding the opening of the Museum, I'm kind of impressed that the local GOP organization is contributing to it - even if it is on only a space rental basis. They could have held the forum at any number of places (churches, etc) for free.
It's sweet of the GGOP, in a reconciling kind of way. Bridge building and tent expanding efforts are important.

For those who don't bother to pay attention to detail, C4GC is not a "GOP organization".

So sayeth the Bob.

Hogg: "impressed that the local GOP organization is contributing to it". Hogg, the forum had nothing to do with the local GOP. A local PAC sponsored the forum.
And to mojothenixon. Did you so soon forget about the involvement of the Democratic Party on the previous city council election? What was that a crock of?

And the irony of their involvement at the time was that the money for the mailer was raised at Don Vaughan's house and it supported Nancy Vaughan's opponents. You lefties are an odd bunch sometimes.

My comments related to the above from Oct. 2009. HEY! It happened!

ummm NO.............The Guilford GOP had NOTHING to do with the forum held tonight at the Civil Rights Museum. This event was sponsored by that way far out there past right field organization C4GC. From what I hear there were very few of us "Party Establishment" type people in attendance. Except for maybe a few who are volunteering for a city council candidate.
