Stingrays are one of several new technologies used by law enforcement to track people's locations, often without a search warrant. These techniques are driving a constitutional debate about whether the Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures, but which was written before the digital age, is keeping pace with the times.

There are so many ways that government is insinuating itself into our lives or outright controlling them that this is way down on my list of concerns.
that said, the fact that the person is using the radio for computer access may be a relatively new idea, but radios have been around a long time. so, i'd be surprised if there isn't some sort of precedent in this case.
Is it legal or illegal to intercept a radio broadcast? what are the laws governing triangulation of radio signals? does a person have an expectation of privacy when they broadcast?
