Singletree Gun & Plough, a new hunting lodge in Stokes County, is scheduled to open for business later this year. Judging from yesterday's preview party, it should be a success. The lodge sits on a big, beautiful property with great views near Hanging Rock park, convenient to Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and PTI. Local food and significant Dan River frontage are part of the package.

Yep, that's a project blog by a high school student who worked there last spring to help prepare for this fall's opening.

Interesting news to hear. I visited the place a few years ago before the transformation. I am sure it is beautiful...had great potential, and a very cool owner.
