Why is using a nursing blanket such an atrocious and rights violating compromise?

Stephen: A nursing blanket is a "rights violating compromise" because it is a violation of a breastfeeding mother's legal rights:

North Carolina General Statutes G.S. 14-190.9
(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a woman may breast feed in any public or private location where she is otherwise authorized to be, irrespective of whether the nipple of the mother's breast is uncovered during or incidental to the breast feeding.

Babies can get hot and sweaty and uncomfortable under a nursing blanket or other cover, and many of them don't like it and aren't happy about eating that way. When is the last time you ate with a blanket over your head?
