A skeptical take on the resurgence of nuclear power. Seems to me that some of the problems with supply chain and economics would ameliorate as the industry returned to operating at scale. France shows that standardization can work, but it takes political will to do it. The German non-nuclear model sounds appealing.

I have a limited sense of humor, but this was funny:
It also sounds appealing to me to be independently wealthy !!
Down to the nuts and bolts, 'bungled construction' - again, still.
Money, make somebody take the risk, and pay for it, if the builders think they can get away with it.
Dream on. The future will be a net energy consumption DECREASE.
Oh, here's a proponent.

Finland produces great architects, I think, but not much else.
The rating agencies must be forgiven for being a bit gun shy just now.
I hoped for three plant framework designs. Complaining about where to put the re-bar seems like a cop out.
This story has Joel Leonard, the Maintenance Evangelist, and eponymous denizen of Fincastles, written all over it.
The last time I checked, the Navy built a pretty good nuclear plant.
Seriously, the French still haven't figured out what to do with their waste.

RBM, that's a great link. I particularly like the molten salt reactor.
Hat tip to you for my the waste link.
