Save Lawndale-Cornwallis: "This morning, Dec. 21, developers requesting a rezoning for the corner
block of Lawndale and Cornwallis for Walgreens store withdrew their
request."
Something else will come along for that corner, but as Dr. Wharton said, "now that the citizen groups have their electronic networks in place, it will be easy to rally the troops again when they're needed."

I'm de-lurking for a brief moment to thank Anne Hummell again for her getting us all together (us: Cornwallis/Lawndale residents). I'm ashamed to admit that I had no idea what was going on in my own front yard. Thanks to Anne's quick action, I was able to attend the neighborhood meeting and get a letter in to the City Council.
Thanks to you also for talking about it, linking to the savelawndale blog,and drawing community attention to the issue.
