Greensboro really does have a promising tech-oriented creative culture.
It just doesn't have that much to do with the downtown groups that talk about such things.
I love these suggestions from the Action Greensboro page:
- Hold a community Tech Expo that showcases local technological accomplishments.
- Create a talent resource center where individuals can share knowledge, network about jobs, and have access to local companies.
Yes. Yes, indeed! If only there was some kind of confab and web-savvy community upon which to build.

I'd call that news kinda sorta exciting. It was great to hear the kudos about Greensboro on the conference call - it was also fun to hear the kids crying and dogs barking in the background. BlogHer started out as grassroots and still is true to said roots. As to that noise-in-background thing, maybe you have to be a working woman/mother/dog owner to understand.
BTW, Simcha spent most of last night upchucking. I felt your pain. (She's much better today.)
