Finally this administration gets something right for a change.

Ged

Next up - Tony Snow.

Perhaps they can do as fine a job re-building the Justice Department as they have done with New Orleans.

At least the incompetent AG is out - now who can the find even less qualified to fill the slot for the next 18 months? They have a bunch of Regents educated and loyalty qualified attorneys on staff.

Ed Cone

Snow got some heat for saying financial concerns were driving his resignation. I think it's a bum rap -- the guy's got cancer, and a family, and that decision seems reasonable to me.

Ged

Hey, Snow's gotta do what he's gotta do. I'm sure he made MUCH more money on Fox News than he ever did working for the government. Sad to think that 168K a year isn't enough in this day and age though.

Elizabeth Wheaton

After listening to his resignation speech, did anyone else find this statement (paraphrased) arrogant or perhaps even insulting?

Gonz: My worst day as AG was better than my father's best day...

J. Neas

Does anyone know (from the modern era, obviously) if, following Snow's impending resignation, any administration has had more different Press Secretaries than Bush II?

Jeffrey Sykes

Truman, LBJ and Clinton had 4 each. Shrub's had 3.

j. neas

Thanks, Jeffrey. Having only really come into political awareness for the 2000 election, I hadn't been paying that close attention through the Clinton years. I didn't know how common it was to see that many PSs come and go.
