Free wifi at McCarran. RDU has a pay service that didn't actually offer the hourly option advertised. Fie upon RDU.

So what's the deal on laptops? I've never flown with one. Do they bomb test it before you can take it?

no big deal -- you have to take it out of the case at security and put it through screening in one of those bins. if tsa chooses you for special screening (random, yesterday they were wanding a grandma) they may swab it for residue, but still no big thing.
