North Carolina is one of "only two states in the South that don't have a constitutional amendment barring same-sex marriages," according to organizers of today's rally in Raleigh.

Let's keep it that way.

Whatcha got against building blatant discrimination into the NC Constitution, Ed? Come on, man, get with the program!

So... that's what that was. I walked right by the crowd on my way to the office not having any idea what was going on. I thought it was some home school rally because of all the private religious school busses that clogged the streets. I think every Bible- and Baptist- Academy in the state attended. Kids probably got extra credit for it.

Homeless and hungry people everywhere and these people can think of nothing better to do than rant about same sex marriage.

I think their passion is misplaced.
