I really liked the Scobles' session at ConvergeSouth (nice pic here) and it was fun to spend some time with Robert and Maryam, too.
One of the things that makes Robert such an effective blogger is that he writes with an easy, personable tone about serious subjects, and that comes through in a presentation, too (and it's always a good sign when a guest of honor is up for a beer run...) I also was impressed by Maryam's style as she interviewed Elizabeth Edwards.
Apparently the Scobles enjoyed Greensboro as much as we enjoyed them.
Maryam: "There were people from all ages and all genders, sexual orientations, and various races. This was -- by far -- one of the most diverse conferences I have ever been a part of. The people who organized the conference and the people who attended the conference had a strong bond of community."
