Lets vote---

All of us that are alive...Do you prefer to have been born or not? (me..yes to being born)

All that were aborted.....sigh... (oh yeah...not here)

I don't have the answers...

Should abortion be an option for some pregnancies....don't know...probably...

Should abortion be permitted as a simple form of birth control for some? Hell no.

Are voluntary abortions covered by normal health insurance policies? I believe the voluntary (for birth control) abortions should be very expensive with the surplus used to fund education. Maybe this higher cost would reduce the number.

If a woman who is x number of weeks pregnant is murdered..is it one murder or two? If the woman is on her way to the hospital to deliver and is murdered...one murder or two? (know there are some lawyers here...I don't know the answers)

I think I know the answer if the woman delivers and the baby is two days old and both are murdered.

Abortion is a poor answer to a difficult problem.

However, safe and legal abortions should be available in this country because people are imperfect and sometimes make bad choices even in the best of circumstances and it is most often the woman who suffers by not being offered this choice.

Instead of railing on about how wrong it is, we should be finding better ways of birth control, education, and solid social support for men and women who choose to continue the pregnancy. Unfortunately, once the baby is born, it is the "other person's problem".

Let's vote-- All of us that are alive...Do you prefer to have been born or not?

All that were not born because our parents used contraception.....sigh...(oh yeah....not here)

Now i see your point meblogin, abortion is exactly morally equivalent as contraception!

(I don't believe that, I am just pointing out that your exercise is useless)

"(I don't believe that, I am just pointing out that your exercise is useless)"

It seemed to me the point of the exercise was made.

How does it fall into the useless category in your estimation?

meblogin

really....you see this excercise as useless?

Please elaborate.

(A) One impact of abortion that society needs to consider is...

(B) STOP! YOU'RE A MAN AND YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO CARRY A BABY AND STUFF AND YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT TIL YOU DO.

(C) How many doctors do you insist we put in jail? ANSWER ME DAMN YOU!

(A) I didn't suggest we put anyone in jail, I just think society should consider the long term consequences of this particular effect of abortion....

(C) NO! You just want to fill the jails with poor girls who are confused and alone and the doctors who help them with a private medical decision.

(B) ALL WOMEN STRUGGLE WITH THIS AND YOU'RE NOT A WOMAN SO YOU HAVE ZERO RIGHT TALK- ONLY PAY!

(A) That's a good question, why is it men are denied the same right women demand, the right to terminate their parental responsibility in the matter.

(D) I don't feel comfortable with your suggestion that men should have the right to terminate their parental responsibility the same way women do.

Yes, this exercise is useless. The Abortion Merit Badge group cannot and will not allow any discussion where your left knee does not jerk in unison with theirs. The Ban all Abortions crowd is no different, albeit, different knee.

Big and important topic, narrow minds.
