The Shu makes an excellent point about keeping ConvergeSouth fresh. In a comment under his post, I say that some stuff he and I find familiar is still new to a lot of folks...but that our challenge going forward is to stay just ahead of the adoption curve. That will be a team effort.

Having worked on conferences for professional associations for years I can tell you that on the content side the hardest thing to deal with is providing content for the "newbies" while also providing content for more experienced folks. Usually we end up creating multiple sessions on each content track that provide different levels of sophistication. Of course this leads to more expense and complexity and essentially makes it an un-unconference. Still, I think you could provide different levels of sophistication within the spirit of the unconference and keep things fresh for everyone.
